SARAJEVO, January 17 (FENA) – Head of the SDS Caucus in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Aleksandra Pandurević, said today that the Constitutional Court of BiH has received an appeal in connection with the recently adopted Law on excise tax, and the appeal was signed by all the deputies who were "against the unscrupulous plundering of citizens".
Pandurović explained that with this appeal submitted to the Constitutional Court they ask for suspension of the excise law’s application until the final decision of the court.
However, Pandurević has doubts that the Constitutional Court will make such a decision, because she believes that the European Union, the EU Delegation and the political parties in BiH have an overwhelming influence on this court.
In her opinion, it would be shameful for the judiciary, and the Constitutional Court of BiH would lose all its credibility if it were to ascertain that the law which has different wording in B/C/S languages should not be disputed.
If the Constitutional Court were to impose a provisional measure, that is, if it stops the application of the law, this would be of immense importance for the citizens of BiH, an MP of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Saša Magazinović noted.
