LUKAVAC, June 15 (FENA) - Officers of the Police Department of the Interior Ministry of the Tuzla Canton arrested yesterday afternoon the father of a minor boy who shot teacher Nedim Osmanović at the Elementary School in Lukavac.
The Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton ordered the arrest and the family home was previously searched.
"The father is suspected of the criminal offense of neglecting or abusing a child or minor and of the criminal offense from Article 72 of the Law on Weapons and Ammunition of the Tuzla Canton (Unauthorized acquisition, possession and sale of weapons and essential parts for weapons). Investigators will carry out a criminal investigation, after which this person will be handed over to the Prosecutor's Office, where further actions will be taken against the suspect," said Admir Arnautović, spokesman for the TC Cantonal Prosecutor's Office.
Teacher Nedim Osmanović is in stable condition, but his life is still in danger.
The minor boy was detained in the premises of the Lukavac Police Station.
