MOSTAR, April 28 (FENA) - The ceremonial awarding of certificates to 73 participants who completed the training entitled "Supervision of criminal intelligence work and risk analysis" was held on Friday at the Agency for Education and Professional Development of Personnel (AEPTM) in Mostar.
Certificates were presented to the participants by the Director of the Agency for Training and Professional Development of Personnel, Marko Vujević.
The training was held in the period from November 3, 2022 to April 7, 2023, and was organized in cooperation with the Border Police of BiH and with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
The training was attended by 73 police and civil servants of the Border Police of BiH, the Service for Foreiners' Affairs, the Administration for Indirect Taxation of BiH, the Veterinary Office of BiH and the Administration for Plant Health Protection of BiH.
The goal is also to increase cooperation between different agencies as a key step towards improved efficiency in combating cross-border crime.
Head of the Central Investigation Office of the BiH Border Police (GPBiH), Adnan Kosovac, said that for the development of the Border Police, the areas of criminal intelligence work model (ILP) and risk analysis are extremely important.
He said that the BiH Border Police has made significant efforts in the last ten years to train in those two areas.
IOM migration coordinator Dražen Rozić said that IOM implemented this project with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Denmark and that it will continue this cooperation through the training of border police officers, i.e. cadets, police inspectors with the help of EU funds.
- IOM is dedicated to migration, migrants' rights, human rights, and with this project alone I hope we will improve the approach to the management of migration flows through BiH, through the Service for Foreigners' Affairs and the Border Police of BiH - Rozić added.
Along with representatives of the Agency for Education and Training of Personnel and IOM, the awarding ceremony was attended by officials of the Border Police of BiH, the Indirect Tax Administration, the Service for Affairs with Foreigners' Affairs and the BiH Administration for Plant Health Protection.
The training was carried out in accordance with the curriculum and program, which, for the middle management level, was developed by the Agency for Education and Professional Training of Personnel according to the FRONTEX Risk Analysis model CIRAM 2.0, which is based on an integrated model of the intelligence cycle, information exchange, risk analysis and analytical products at the local, regional and strategic level.
The trainers at this training were police officers of the BiH Border Police and the Service for Foreigners' Affairs.
