SARAJEVO, October 13 (FENA) - The opening of the ballots’ bags and the recounting of ballots for the level of president and vice-president of the Republika Srpska began today at the Main Counting Center in Sarajevo.

At its session three days ago, the Central Election Commission (CEC) decided to recount the ballots for the president and vice president of the RS.

According to the latest preliminary results published by the CEC, Milorad Dodik (SNSD) has 291,915 votes (48.14 percent), and Jelena Trivić (PDP) 262,969 (43.37 percent).

Opposition parties in the RS demanded a second count of votes due to, as they stated, brutal election theft.

Director of the Main Counting Center, Goran Mišković, said that the recounting of votes for the president and vice president of the RS will be carried out in three shifts.
