SARAJEVO, November 2 (FENA) - The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CEC BiH) unanimously passed the Decision on the confirmation of the results of the 2022 General Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina at an emergency session today.
The CEC BiH confirmed the results for the Presidency of BiH, the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, the House of Representatives of the Parliament of FBiH, the President and Vice President of Republika Srpska, the National Assembly of the RS, and the cantonal assemblies in the Federation of BiH: Una-Sana Canton, Posavina, Tuzla Canton, Zenica-Doboj Canton, Bosnian-Podrinje Canton of Goražde, Central-Bosnia Canton, Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, West-Herzegovina Canton, Sarajevo Canton and Canton 10.
An integral part of that decision is a report on voting results for each level with assigned mandates and names of candidates within political entities.
The Appellate Division of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina decided on all appeals and in all cases, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina either rejected the appeals as unfounded or rejected them. Based on this, the conditions were met to decide on confirming the results of the 2022 General Election.
President of the CEC BiH Suad Arnautović said that the CEC BiH informs all candidates who won seats in the 2022 general elections but decided to reject the seats they won, that they can personally sign a statement of refusal of the mandate at the CEC headquarters if they want the CEC BiH to award replacement mandates before holding the constituent sessions of the government bodies where they won the mandate.
After the decisions of the CEC of BiH became legally binding, the CEC of BiH today confirmed and announced the results of the General Elections in BiH held on October 2, 2022.
“As of today, all the deadlines related to the establishment of government prescribed by the constitutions at all levels are running,” noted Arnautović.
