SARAJEVO, March 28 (FENA) - Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sifet Podžić received the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to BiH Roem Kono in an inaugural visit today.
Podžić thanked the Indonesian Ambassador for his expressed readiness for bilateral military cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Indonesia. He called on Ambassador Kono to take steps together to sign an agreement on co-operation in the field of defense.
Podžić expressed regret that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some international activities have been slowed down, but also the readiness to intensify any form of cooperation with Indonesia.
The newly appointed Ambassador of Indonesia expressed special interest in mutual cooperation in the field of military training and the military industry. Podžić confirmed that joint projects could be launched in this field for the mutual benefit of both countries, in cooperation with other institutions responsible for the military industry in BiH, the BiH Ministry of Defense said.
