SARAJEVO, May 4 (FENA) - Member of the FBiH Civil Protection Crisis Staff and Director of the FBiH Public Health Institute, Davor Pehar, said today that 344 samples were tested in the FBiH in the past 24 hours, none of which tested positive for COVID-19, while 35 patients have recovered.
He emphasized that for the first time the FBiH recorded a higher number of recovered from COVID-19 than active cases.
“As of today, the number of recovered is 461, while there are currently 444 active cases,” Pehar said.
He added that the Tuzla and Posavina Cantons have no active COVID-19 cases, while only one is active in the Bosnia-Podrinje Canton.
“So far, 19.377 samples have been tested in the FBiH, and COVID-19 has been confirmed in 938 people,” Pehar said.
He noted that there are 37 patients hospitalized at the moment, two of whom are on a ventilator.
“We have not had new deaths in FBiH for several days now and the epidemiological situation is in line with the expectations of our crisis response plan,” said Pehar.
