SARAJEVO, October 25 (FENA) - The prosecution and police teams are still working intensively to identify the perpetrators of murder of two Sarajevo police officers Davor Vujinović and Adis Šehović.
“In the course of the investigation, numerous witnesses have been heard, expert witnesses have been examined and other actions of evidence have been taken, the results which cannot be stated in public at this moment because the possible disclosure could jeopardize the purpose of the ongoing investigation,” stated Azra Bavčić, spokesperson for the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton (SC) and the Police Directorate of the Ministry of Interior of the SC, in cooperation with the SC Union of Police, will mark one-year anniversary of murder of police officers Adis Šehović and Davor Vujinović on Saturday, October 26.
Unknown perpetrators opened fire at a police patrol that caught them stealing a motor vehicle in Sarajevo settlement “Alipašino Polje”.
Police officer Adis Šehović was killed at the scene and his colleague Davor Vujinović succumbed to his injuries hours later.
