SARAJEVO, October 10 (FENA) – Within the European Research and Innovation Program Horizon 2020, four projects have been approved and will be implemented with the support of the Rectorate of the University of Sarajevo at the Faculty of Political Science, Faculty of Islamic Sciences and Faculty of Electrical Engineering.

On this basis, the University of Sarajevo will receive EUR 461,735 for research and other project activities, and to achieve research cooperation with 73 research institutions and companies from Europe and the world.

“The Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH annually supports individuals and institutions through grants preparing applications for the H2020 program, and since this year, the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of the Sarajevo Canton has included this type of support in science allocations, which is certainly commendable,” said Rector of UNSA Rifat Škrijelj.

Horizon 2020 is the European Union's research and innovation program and is the largest funding system for this purpose in the world, the University of Sarajevo stated.
