In this regard, Ambassador Wigemark pointed out that the accession process is guided by the state level government, but that cantons and other, lower levels of government in BiH have certain obligations and powers in this process.
“In this regard, Ambassador Wigemark pointed to certain activities that have been carried out in the Tuzla Canton in the past period, first of all making legal decisions that are not in accordance with the acquis in the European Union and violate the impartiality and professionalism of the public administration,” said the Tuzla Canton Government.
Prime Minister Tulumović and Government members discussed with the Ambassador Wigemark and his associates the migrant situation, the situation on the ground and action plans on this issue, the construction of Block 7 of the Tuzla Thermal Power Plant, the allocation of public revenues in the Federation of BiH and the necessity of changing legal regulations in this field, road communication on the Brčko - Tuzla - Sarajevo route, but also EU funds for BiH, in which the Tuzla Canton can and should find its place.
Significant funding has also been announced which will be made available to Bosnia and Herzegovina by the European Union through its funds for the development of the agricultural sector. In this regard, given the number of agricultural producers, Tuzla Canton has the opportunity to prepare quality projects in advance.
