Mektić and Germain discuss political situation in BiH

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, August 14 (FENA) - Bosnia and Herzegovina's Minister of Security Dragan Mektić met with US Deputy Ambassador Ellen Germain in Sarajevo today to discuss the political situation and security co-operation.

Mektić and Germain exchanged views on the possibility of forming a new government at the state level, and in this context the possibility of adopting the Annual National Program (ANP).

Mektić said that there is great distrust and disagreement among the political leaders who have signed the agreement on forming the government.

They also discussed co-operation and exchange of information on BiH citizens who fought in terrorist organizations in Syria and Iraq, and on women and children currently in camps in Syria.

Germain has announced that the United States will continue to support BiH in the process, the BiH Ministry of Security said.
