SARAJEVO, June 26 (FENA) - Award ceremony for members of Armed Forces of BiH, who participated in the Best Warrior Competition in Maryland, was held in Sarajevo today.
Commander of the Maryland National Guard Major General Linda Singh firstly thanked the Armed Forces of BiH not only for participating in this event, "but for being there for us and participating for years".
She emphasized that importance of this competition does not only lie in the competition, "but in our partnership".
She said that each competitor from Armed Forces of BiH showed courage, determination and stamina.
Deputy Chief of Joint Staff of Armed Forces of BiH for Operations Major General Ivica Jerkić said that representatives of Armed Forces of BiH achieved extraordinary results in the competition.
He reminded that state of BiH has had cooperation with the state of Maryland for 15 years and that there have been more than 250 different cooperation events with participation of more than 5.200 soldiers and civilians.
He added that cooperation with the Maryland National Guard will continue.
