BiH Presidency-Support for promotion and implementation of UN Agenda 2030 goals

SARAJEVO, June 5 (FENA) - The BiH Presidency has encouraged and given full support to activities aimed at accelerating the creation of preconditions for efficient promotion and implementation of the sustainable development goals of the UN Agenda 2030, which Bosnia and Herzegovina assumed as an international commitment in 2015.

In the context of strengthening the aforementioned efforts, the BiH Presidency will soon organize a roundtable on the sustainable development goals and their implementation with the presidents of neighboring countries (Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro), which are also signatories of the Agenda 2030, which will serve as an additional incentive for regional connecting and cooperation.

The roundtable will be held on the topic "How to strengthen regional stability, prosperity and cooperation through the UN Agenda 2030".

The BiH Presidency took note of the Report of the Council of Ministers of BiH on the activities in the European integration process.

It also took note of the information on the visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Defense to the EU and NATO headquarters and the Information on the visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Defense to the Ministry of Defense of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The BiH Presidency has made a Decision on the acceptance of the extension of the validity of the Protocol between the BiH Council of Ministers and the Government of the Republic of Slovenia on cooperation in the field of education.

The BiH Presidency reached decisions to initiate procedures for conducting negotiations for the purpose of concluding the following: the Protocol on the establishment of a border point between Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and the Republic of Serbia; the Agreement on the status between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union on the activities carried out by the European Coastguard Agency in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Serbia on joint locations at border crossings, stated the BiH Presidency.
