SARAJEVO, September 2 (FENA) – Meta company enables the distribution through its paid advertising system of content featuring Ratko Mladić, who was convicted of genocide and other war crimes in Bosnia and Herzegovina, ranging from the commercial sale of T-shirts to content that glorifies him or downplays his responsibility for the crimes he committed. Experts note that the platform relies on users to flag problematic posts. Among the ads that appeared on Facebook and Instagram was one by the "Otacastvo" page, which used Mladić's image to promote and sell T-shirts. The ad was removed shortly after Detektor contacted the page, BIRN reports.
