BERN, August 25 (FENA) – The European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA) is marking its 70th anniversary, having been established in Strasbourg on August 21, 1956, as a forum for cooperation among European news agencies. From its beginnings with just a handful of members, EANA has grown over seven decades into a network of 33 news agencies from 33 countries, representing more than 670 million people, from Helsinki to Nicosia and from Lisbon to Baku.
