Wildfire near Konjic remains active as firefighters defend homes

MOSTAR, August 7 (FENA) – A wildfire remains active in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNC), in the Konjic area near the villages of Kanjina and Ovčari, where forest is burning on steep and inaccessible terrain. All available firefighters from the Konjic Professional Firefighting Unit, together with employees of the Prenj Forestry Company, are on the ground protecting homes in the villages of Kanjina and Živašnica.
