Commander Fowler: NATO membership is based on progress, not deadlines

SARAJEVO, June 24 (FENA) – James C. Fowler, Commander of NATO Headquarters Sarajevo, said in an interview with FENA that NATO membership is based on meeting criteria and making measurable progress, not on fixed deadlines. He also noted that the NEL-2 evaluation, expected this autumn, will assess the operational readiness of units of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AFBiH) for participation in NATO-led missions as well as missions worldwide.
