SARAJEVO, June 9 (FENA) – The full implementation of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) starting on January 1, 2026 will bring new financial and administrative obligations for exporters from Bosnia and Herzegovina to the European Union market, making it crucial for companies to establish timely systems for monitoring, reporting, and verification of carbon dioxide emissions, it was stated today in Sarajevo at an expert event organized by the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina, through the Center for Responsible Business, aimed at providing practical support to domestic companies in adapting to new sustainable business rules and European market requirements.
