Study: Cancer deaths in Bosnia and Herzegovina far exceed EU averages

SARAJEVO, May 18 (FENA) – Results from the first comprehensive study on several types of cancer in Bosnia and Herzegovina show alarming data, indicating that cancer mortality in the country is significantly higher than in the European Union (EU). Cervical cancer mortality in Bosnia and Herzegovina is two and a half times higher, while death rates from colorectal cancer are 66 percent higher and breast cancer mortality is 45 percent higher than in EU countries.
