BiH observes Data Protection Day highlighting new law aligned with EU standards

SARAJEVO, January 28 (FENA) – This year’s observance of Data Protection Day in Bosnia and Herzegovina carries special significance, as a new Law on Personal Data Protection was adopted last year, aligned with EU legislation, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the so-called Police Directive on data transfers for police and judicial purposes, officials emphasized at a press conference of the Personal Data Protection Agency of BiH held today in Sarajevo.
