New law strengthens personal data protection: Heavy fines and the right to be forgotten

SARAJEVO, October 14 (FENA) – The new Law on Personal Data Protection, which came into effect on October 4, introduces stricter regulations, significantly higher fines, and stronger rights for citizens. Fines for legal entities range from 10,000 KM up to 40 million KM, or up to four percent of a company’s total annual global revenue.
