SARAJEVO, December 16 (FENA) – The Institution of the Human Rights Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina has responded to the recent frequent attacks against women within family settings in Bosnia and Herzegovina and has prepared a Special Report on the existing forms, protection mechanisms, and prevention of domestic violence in BiH. The report showed that there are no economic measures to empower victims, nor adequate coordination among the police, judiciary, and healthcare systems, while consistent implementation of the new Law on Protection from Domestic Violence and Violence against Women, adopted in the Federation of BiH, is still pending.
