SARAJEVO, December 6 (FENA) - "Sarajevo Travel Fest - Destination Festival" will gather tourism workers from numerous countries in Europe and the world in April next year in the capital of BiH to present their destinations as best as possible, it was announced at a press conference today in Sarajevo.
Faruk Čaluk from the Sarajevo Canton Tourism Board explained that after visiting numerous tourism fairs in the world, they came up with the idea of making an extended presentation of various countries as year-round destinations.
He expressed hope that representatives of many countries will attend the event in April to present themselves as tourism destinations and that representatives of their travel agencies will hold B2B meetings during the festival.
The Deputy Mayor of Sarajevo, Samir Avdić, announced the City of Sarajevo's full institutional support for that project, but also for the general development of tourism in the capital and throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Vice President of the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH, Ahmet Egrlić, also announced serious support for the festival and stated that it was high time for a significant step forward in the field of tourism promotion.
