ECHR: Elections in BiH undemocratic because dominant ethnic groups enjoy a privileged position

STRASBOURG, August 29 (FENA) - In the case of Slaven Kovačević v. Bosnia and Herzegovina, the European Court of Human Rights, with six votes for and one against, decided that there had been a violation of Article 1 of Protocol no. 12. (general prohibition of discrimination) with the European Convention on Human Rights, because Mr. Kovačević is not adequately represented in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH and the Presidency of BiH, it was announced today from this court.
