SARAJEVO, April 4 (FENA) - The International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action is marked on April 4th, highlighting the importance of action on mines in saving lives, protecting people, and enabling development in affected areas. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the presence of landmines continues to threaten the safety of citizens, hinder economic progress, and displace people from afflicted areas.
