SARAJEVO, July 20 (FENA) - Food is the basis of life and community and food industry and innovations in that sector are the driver of the development and future of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it was pointed out today at the beginning of a two-day conference of the food industry of Bosnia and Herzegovina "PIT FoodCon 2023: Tradition and innovation - Taste the future!" organized by the industrial marketing agency Bravaria Industrial Marketing in Sarajevo.
The director of the Bravaria Industrial Marketing agency, Samira Avdić, said that the conference is an opportunity to explore the vast possibilities offered by the food industry.
"Bravaria Industrial Marketing has set itself the goal of gathering production this year, and for the seventh month in a row, we have been organizing professional conferences that are intended exclusively for production in BiH. This is our third sectoral conference, and the previous ones were dedicated to the wood processing and metal sectors. We decided on the food sector taking into account its importance for the overall development of Bosnia and Herzegovina," said Avdić.
As she added, the participants and visitors can expect two meaningful days, which will be about production processes, certification, innovations, environmental aspects, accreditation and regulations, but also inevitable digitization and optimization, and the necessary implementation of Lean methodology in that sector. Eating habits and current trends and special demands placed on this sector are also some of the topics.
The intention of the organizers of this conference is to provide a platform for promoting local and sustainable development and creating a space for inspiring stories, changes and activities.
