MARRAKECH, May 31 (FENA) – Deputy Director of the Federal News Agency (FENA), Ilija Musa, signed a cooperation agreement with Fouad Arif, Director General of the Moroccan News Agency Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP), during the 33rd General Assembly of the Alliance of Mediterranean News Agencies (AMAN), held in Marrakech.

The agreement outlines the free exchange of information and online content between the two agencies, the strengthening of professional cooperation, and joint participation in regional media projects and initiatives. The aim is to reinforce media ties among Mediterranean countries, promote professional standards, and improve the quality of news reporting in the region.

In addition, the agreement includes logistical cooperation to facilitate joint reporting on events and official visits, mutual access to multimedia content, and the exchange of bulletins, books, archives, and professional expertise.

The partnership also encourages the exchange of visits between managers and journalists from both agencies and the organization of targeted training related to their professional activities.

Alongside FENA, MAP also signed agreements with the Italian agency ANSA and the Syrian agency SANA, establishing frameworks for reciprocal news and multimedia content exchange, the development of joint projects, and cooperation in institutional communication, training, and technological development.

MAP is the official state news agency of the Kingdom of Morocco, founded in 1959, with decades of experience in multilingual reporting and a wide international network of correspondents.
