PRIJEDOR, July 19 (FENA) - The collective funeral for two victims, who were killed in 1992 in the area of Prijedor, will be held tomorrow at the Kamičani Memorial Center in Kozarac, after which their remains will be buried.
The funeral will be led by Raisu-l-Ulama of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein-ef. Kavazović.
The remains of these two victims were transported this morning from the Šejkovača Identification Center in Sanski Most towards Kozarac, where it should arrive at 8:00 p.m.
According to information from the Missing Persons Institute of BiH, the remains of these victims were exhumed during the discovery of the Hrastova Glavica and Jakarina Kosa mass graves.
Ferid (Hamdija) Sikirić was born in 1960 in Hambarine in Prijedor. He was killed in 1992, and his remains were exhumed in 1998 from the Hrastova Glavica mass grave. He will be buried at the cemetery of Hambarine.
Izet (Adem) Mešić was born in 1960 in Prijedor and disappeared in May 1992. His remains were exhumed in 2001 at the Jakarina Kosa site. He will be buried at the Skela Cemetery.
Mujo Begić from the Institute for Missing Persons in Bosnia and Herzegovina said that the remains of murdered people from Prijedor have been found in 503 locations so far, including 73 mass graves.
"We found the remains in three states, in ten different municipalities, which speaks of the scale of the crime," he stated.
He added that the people whose remains are still being sought are victims of the most serious war crimes.
