SARAJEVO, June 15 (FENA) - Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Nermin Nikšić spoke today with the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in BiH Ingrid Macdonald about the priorities in the work of the FBiH Government, which the UN supports through a multi-year partnership, and special emphasis is placed on social and economic issues and the implementation of the UN Framework Agreement with our country.
Among the priorities, Prime Minister Nikšić highlighted fiscal reform, easing the burden on the economy and increasing the minimum wage.
He also emphasized the plans to create a better business environment for companies and better working conditions for workers, as well as the creation of other conditions that would prevent citizens to leave our country but to return to BiH. The Prime Minister emphasized the tasks aimed at fulfilling obligations on the path to EU integration.
Macdonald, in addition to expressing interest in the work priorities of the new Government of the Federation, emphasized that every year the UN provides 100 million dollars of support for BiH in projects that are implemented through 18 different agencies within the UN system.
The implementation of sustainable development goals, improvement of cooperation and joint work for the benefit of EU integration and all citizens of BiH was highlighted as particularly important in the EU accession process, announced the Press Service of the FBiH Government.
