BiH and Azerbaijan are strengthening cooperation in protection against natural and other disasters

SARAJEVO, June 1 (FENA) - Today, at its session, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina approved a draft decision on the ratification of the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan on cooperation in the field of protection against natural and other disasters, which was signed in April this year in Baku.

The cooperation will, among other things, include mutual assistance in the event of disasters and removal of their consequences, exchange of scientific and technical knowledge and experience, education and training of direct participants in protection and rescue.

The agreement envisages encouraging cooperation between institutions and business entities in the field of technical development and production of equipment for protection and rescue, as well as informing about the risks of disasters and their consequences, as well as assistance in the event of disasters.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina will submit the draft decision to the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the further ratification procedure, stated the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
