SARAJEVO, April 24 (FENA) - The Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH organized the visit of the economic delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the International Fair of Sweets and Snacks (ISM) in Cologne, FR Germany.
The delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in addition to the organizers, gathered the representatives of BiH companies - MBA Centar (Vogošća), Mladeks Pak (Prnjavor), Šeherconi (Maglaj), Violeta Grude - Lasta subsidiary.
The purpose of the business visit to the ISM fair, according to FTC BiH, was to enable the establishment of contacts with potential partners and the improvement of BiH's export business.
The confectionery industry of Bosnia and Herzegovina is developing year by year. This is evidenced by the presence of domestic brands on the domestic market and the constant increase in exports to foreign markets. That industry gathers more than 40 companies, most of which operate in accordance with the EU production standards.
The production is dominated by biscuits, chocolates, and confectionery (cakes, cookies, ice cream cones, puddings, whipped cream, and deep-frozen confectionery). BiH sweets can be found on regional markets such as Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Croatia, but also on the EU market (Germany, Austria and Switzerland).
