SARAJEVO, April 14 (FENA) - A member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović said today in Sarajevo that the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina was a legal armed force of the legal and internationally recognized state of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the most important historical fact in our centuries-long history.
At the marking of the anniversary of the formation of the Army of the RBiH at the Kovači Memorial Complex, Bećirović pointed out that, if it had not been for the Army of the RBiH, the referendum of the BiH citizens in 1992 would have failed, and the admission of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the UN would remain a dead letter.
"All of us who love Bosnia and Herzegovina can be proud of the freedom-loving and heroic Army of the RBiH that defended mosques, churches, synagogues, kindergartens, schools as well as indivisible, sovereign and multi-ethnic BiH based on the Constitution of the state and the platform of the Presidency of the RBiH," said Bećirović.
He most sincerely congratulated all the people who love Bosnia and Herzegovina on the 31st anniversary of the formation of the RBiH Army and the 18th anniversary of the 2nd Infantry Regiment of the Armed Forces of BiH.
On the occasion of this anniversary, a religious program was held at Kovači, including a visit to the cemetery at Koševo, and tonight at 18:00 hrs. a solemn academy will be held at the Sarajevo National Theater.
