SARAJEVO, April 5 (FENA) - Today, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina held an urgent telephone meeting on the final adjustment of pensions, which increases pensions in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina by another 5.15 percent compared to the previous advance adjustment, which is a total increase of 16, 25 this year.
This adjustment will be applied retroactively from January 1 of this year.
At today's session, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the information of the Federal Institute for Pension and Disability Insurance on the final adjustment of pensions in accordance with Article 79 of the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance, and tasked the Federal Institute of PIO to carry out an additional adjustment of pensions for 2023 in the amount of 5.15 percent starting from January 1, 2023. year, and with the advance adjustment of 11.1 percent, the total amounts to 16.25 percent.
This is the largest individual increase in pensions in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina so far.
This is the fifth pension increase in the last year in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The lowest pension at the end of 2021 was 382 KM, and after this increase of 5.15 percent, i.e. regular adjustment by 16.25 percent, it should be 517.3 KM. This is an increase of 135.3 KM or 35.42 percent.
Also, at the end of 2021, the guaranteed pension amounted to 478.91 KM. After all adjustments, it should amount to 618.3 KM, which is an increase of 139.4 KM, or 29.11 percent, compared to December 2021.
The difference of today's increase of 5.15 percent compared to the advance payment will be paid to pensioners retroactively, starting from January 1 of this year, announced the Public Relations Office of the FBiH Government.
