SARAJEVO, February 28 (FENA) - Eleven MPs of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA) submitted a request to the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for an evaluation of the constitutionality of the Law on Immovable Property of the Republika Srpska.
MPs from the Social Democratic Party (SDP), People and justice Party (NiP), Our Party (NS) and the Bosnia and Herzegovina Initiative (BHI-KF) submitted the request.
The Office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Denis Zvizdić (NiP), announced that state property is one of the most important issues for them and only the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH can decide on it.
The High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Schmidt, suspended the RS Law on Immovable Property, which enters into force today.
According to this law, immovable property used by the authorities of the RS, local self-government units, public enterprises, public institutions and other services established by the RS, "by force of law" belongs to them. This is contrary to the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
