SARAJEVO, January 26 (FENA) - Since the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has not yet submitted its opinion on the 50 amendments submitted by the deputies of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH HoR) to this year's budget, the deputies adopted changes to the Law on Contributions at an extraordinary session FBiH.

Deputy Speaker of the FBiH House of Representatives Edina Gabela is the proposer of this legal solution and said that the amendments aim to strengthen competitiveness on the foreign market, primarily in the textile, leather, and footwear industry, as a predominantly export-oriented activity, through determining the payment of contributions to the lowest preferential base if the employee is paid monthly salary in the amount of up to 85 percent of the average monthly net salary in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As stated in the explanation of that legal solution, in this way the price competitiveness of products from Bosnia and Herzegovina that are intended for export is achieved, and thus the prerequisites for significant investments in that sector are ensured.

Gabela called on the deputies to vote for the amendments, to help citizens stay in BiH and not leave the country, which was done with 69 votes in favor.
