MOSTAR, January 25 (FENA) – President of the Government of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNC), Nevenko Herceg, received Ambassador of Japan to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kinefuchi Masami, and Yoshida Chisato, Head of the Culture Department and first secretary of the Embassy.
As it was the first visit of Ambassador Masami to HNC, Herceg took the opportunity to introduce him to several current topics and activities of the Government, such as the recently adopted financial documents through which the Government found balance and stability to preserve both the social and development dimensions of the cantonal budget, despite all the challenges posed by the pandemic, political and economic crisis to the government and society as a whole, announced the Government of HNC.
He also expressed his belief in further good cooperation in this area with the Japanese Embassy and several agencies and institutions of that friendly country, especially in the field of tourism, agriculture, environmental protection and renewable energy sources.
Ambassador Masami emphasized his willingness to make an effort and enhance cooperation, with an emphasis on local communities both in HNC and in other areas of the entity and the state.
"I am in Bosnia and Herzegovina again, after more than 20 years, and I am very pleased with the evident progress of the country in all aspects, and I am especially pleased with the fact that HNC has grown into an area that can serve as an example of respect, tolerance and the bearer of development processes. I believe that all areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina will develop like HNC has, which is a direction for the success of Bosnia and Herzegovina's European path," the Ambassador stated.
He also said that his country and he personally will be true friends to HNC and BiH as a whole and is ready to work on an even stronger connection between the two countries.
