CEC announces preliminary, unofficial and incomplete results of the elections for BiH Presidency

SARAJEVO, October 3 (FENA) - The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CEC BiH) announced the preliminary, unofficial and incomplete results of the elections for the Presidency of BiH, which were submitted by municipal and city election commissions in BiH.

As the president of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Suad Arnautović, announced tonight, 1,816 polling stations or 54.83 percent were processed for a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Bosniak people or 54.83 percent, and there were 518,583 or 93.04 percent of valid ballots.

Candidate Denis Bećirović (United for a Free BiH) won 162,053 or 55.87 percent of votes, Bakir Izetbegović (SDA) won 114,186 or 39.31 percent, while Mirsad Hadžikadić (Platform for Progress) won 14,269 or 4.91 percent of votes.

A total of 1,816 polling stations or 54.73 percent were processed for a member of the BiH Presidency from among the Croat people, and there were 518,583 or 93.04 percent of valid ballots.

Borjana Krišto (HDZ BiH) won 117,147 or 51.36 percent, and Željko Komšić (Democratic Front) won 110,928 or 48.64 percent of votes.

For the member of the BiH Presidency from the Serb people, 886 polling stations or 39.57 percent were processed. There were 235,698 or 93.30 percent of valid ballots.

Željka Cvijanović (SNSD) won 121,731 or 51.65 percent of votes, Mirko Šarović (SDS) 86,797 or 36.83 percent, and Nenad Nešić (DNS) 13,869 or 5.88 percent of votes, Vojin Mijatović (United for a Free BiH) 10,182 or 4.32 percent, and Borislav Bijelić (Stranka Život) won 3,119 or 1.32 percent.

Due to the slowness in entering the data by the municipal and city election commissions into the unified information system, the CEC is for now is not in a position to present data for the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, the House of Representatives of the Parliament of FBiH, the National Assembly of the RS and the cantonal assemblies.
