SARAJEVO, September 29 (FENA) – The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPC BiH) today, in the continuation of its session, made a decision that the currently acting Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milanko Kajganić, remains the only candidate for that position.
This resolved the dilemma in the context of the earlier proposal of the competent Subcommittee to repeat the competition for the election of the Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.
After the Subcomittee withdrew, a decision was made and read by the President of the HJPC of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Halil Lagumdžija, to cancel the proposal to repeat the competition procedure and that Kajganić be nominated and to be allowed to present his program at the next session of the HJPC, which is planned for October 19 and 20.
Ten members of the HJPC voted for that decision, one was against, while two abstained.
