NEUM, August 5 (FENA) - The situation at the fire sites in Neum is significantly better on Friday morning. The fire near Zelenikovac is almost completely extinguished, but due to the wind there is a risk of reactivation, so firefighters are on the ground, the Civil Protection of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton announced.
The fire in wider area of Mount Žaba is still active, but the population and houses are not threatened. During the day, two helicopters of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina helped in extinguishing the fire.
However, the fire in the village Borci near Konjic is still active and is currently spreading towards the village of Gakići, while the fire in Glavatičevo is under control.
