NEUM, June 7 (FENA) - Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, said on Wednesday at the international symposium "Challenge 2023" in Neum that solutions to problems can only be found through dialogue.
Referring to the session of the Steering Board of the Peace Implementation Council (PIC) held in Sarajevo, the FBiH prime minister said it was important to adopt the three key laws - the law on the HJPC, public procurement and conflict of interest.
"Certain tasks have been set before us, which we have undertaken as part of these 14 priorities of the European Commission in order to start negotiations on this path of our membership. We were given the candidate status and it didn't happen because of some of our activities. I do not know in which direction the conclusions of the PIC will go, but I believe that the partners who formed the Council of Ministers of BiH and who have the majority in the state parliament should follow suit, to pass these three key laws, the law on the HJPC, the law on public procurement and conflict of interest," Nikšić pointed out.
When asked what the minimum was, the Prime Minister replied that the minimum is the Election Law, which complies with the EU standards.
He also referred to the situation surrounding the formation of a new government in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, where the DF announced that it will be in the opposition.
"I was not optimistic that the DF would be able to take it over the goal line in the HNC, the decision of the DF leadership was expected because they have been tied to the SDA for years, as if by some kind of umbilical cord," Nikšić concluded.
