SARAJEVO, August 3 (FENA) – The total number of tourist arrivals in Bosnia and Herzegovina in June 2022 was 138,720 visits, which is 0.6 percent less compared to May 2022 and 52.5 percent more compared to June 2021.
Tourists spent 301,619 overnight stays in June, which is 4.2 percent more compared to May 2022 and 45.3 percent more compared to June 2021.
In the total number of overnight stays, the participation of domestic tourists was 40.1 percent, while the participation of foreign tourists was 59.9 percent.
The number of overnight stays by domestic tourists was 2.8 percent higher compared to May 2022 and 6.4 percent higher compared to June 2021. The number of overnight stays by foreign tourists was 5.2 percent higher compared to May 2022 and 92.4 percent higher compared to June 2021.
In terms of overnight stays of foreign tourists in June 2022, the highest number of overnight stays was realized by tourists from Serbia (12.2 percent), Croatia (9.1 percent), Turkey (7.0 percent), Germany (5.8 percent), Saudi Arabia (5. 7 percent), Slovenia (4.8 percent), the USA (4.5 percent), Poland (4.5 percent), the United Arab Emirates (3.3 percent) and France (3.0 percent), which is a total of 59, 9 percent. Tourists from other countries accounted for 40.1 percent of overnight stays, according to data from the BiH Statistics Agency.
