SARAJEVO, June 29 (FENA) - The need of the President of the Republic of Croatia Zoran Milanović to deal with Bosnia and Herzegovina has taken pathological forms and it is shown by his confession that he dedicated all his time at the session in Madrid to Bosnia and Herzegovina, said BiH Presidency Chairman Šefik Džaferović.

In a statement for FENA, Džaferović stressed that the messages of support for BiH from the NATO Summit in Madrid are good, especially considering the changed security architecture in Europe, after the aggression on Ukraine, NATO has clearly shown awareness that BiH is exposed to risks committed to supporting BiH in strengthening resilience, integrity and political independence.

“We expect the development of cooperation between the defense structures of BiH and the NATO alliance, and the continuation of our NATO path,” said Džaferović.

Džaferović added that it is good that NATO has expressed support for BiH, along with other endangered countries such as Georgia and Moldova, after the aggression on Ukraine, because this shows that the attempt of authorities of the BiH entity Republika Srpska to convince the relevant actors that the situation in BiH has not been disturbed by what is happening in Ukraine has failed.

Commenting on the speech of the President of Croatia on BiH, Džaferović said that it was a kind of obsession and Milanović's assessment that the internal affairs of our country are in fact "a matter of pride and credibility of Croatia" reveals a distorted view.

“It is evident that Milanović is a parody of the dictator, who sees BiH as a kind of his Sudetenland, banovina or Donbas, unaware that the time has passed when the laws in BiH were decided in Zagreb. This was shown by the fiasco of his initiative by which he tried to connect Finland's accession to NATO with the Election Law in BiH,” said Džaferović.

He assessed that Milanović is deliberately distorting reality, citing the example of voting for national minorities in Croatia, as a model for the Election Law in BiH.

“Croats in BiH are not a national minority, but a constituent people, who have a far greater influence on the decision-making in government institutions than any national minority in Croatia. So this is a meaningless analogy,” Džaferović underlined.

He called Milanović's claim that BiH is a security problem sarcastic, while at the same time Milanović himself provides open support to the generator of security problem and the extended arm of Russian policy in the Balkans - BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik.
