BRUSSELS, June 23 (FENA) - BiH Presidency Chairman Šefik Džaferović met today in Brussels, after the European Union-Western Balkans Summit, with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
Džaferovic underlined that Bosnia and Herzegovina should receive candidate status.
“Ukraine and Moldova received candidate status for geopolitical reasons and that should be welcomed. Sufficient attention should be paid to geostrategic issues when it comes to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and candidate status should be provided for BiH as well,’’ Džaferović said.
After the EU-Western Balkans summit, the leaders of the European Union will hold a session of the European Council, at which the European future of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be decided.
