SARAJEVO, May 16 (FENA) - A delegate in the Serb People caucus in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH Mladen Bosić told reporters that today's session of the House showed great arrogance and audacity of the incumbent majority by removing those agenda items that directly affect the living standard of BiH citizens.

Bosić commented on today's outcome of the session to the reporters after several laws were removed from the agenda of today's session, including the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Value Added Tax, which envisages the introduction of a VAT rate of five percent on certain food items and medicines, and 22 percent on luxury products.

This and several other bills were removed from the agenda, because the competent Committee for Finances and Budget, due to lack of quorum, could not hold a session at the end of last week to consider them and submit an opinion to the House of Peoples.

Bosić believes that there is an obvious lack of will, desire or need to send a message to the citizens in any way that the government cares about their interests.

After the session, a delegate Zlatko Miletić told the journalists that there is no political will in this country to help the citizens of BiH.

"Today we made a proposal to take a break, for the committee to discuss these issues so that we could discuss VAT, excise tax and the three, as they call them, "European laws" at the House of Peoples. Unfortunately, they removed it all from the agenda," said Miletić.
