Džaferović with Director-General of the International Commission on Missing Persons

SARAJEVO, April 25 (FENA) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović, concluding the first day of his official visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, visited the International Commission on Missing Persons. 

At the meeting with the Director-General Kathryne Bomberger, the historical ties of the Commission with Bosnia and Herzegovina were emphasized, because the Commission was established in our country after the end of the war.

Chairman Džaferović expressed his gratitude for the irreplaceable role of the Commission in resolving the issue of missing persons during the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina. The commission has made an outstanding contribution to the identification of victims of the Srebrenica genocide found in mass graves.

Džaferović especially thanked Director Bomberger for her personal engagement, both for helping Bosnia and Herzegovina and for improving the work of the Commission.

The role of experts from Bosnia and Herzegovina in developing the methodology and technology for determining the identity of the victims was emphasized, thanks to which the Commission has become the world's leading body in this field, the Presidency of BiH announced.
