SARAJEVO, January 19 (FENA) - Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zoran Tegeltija talked today with UN Resident Coordinator for BiH Ingrid Macdonald about future cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United Nations.
Tegeltija said that he highly appreciates the current expert and analytical assistance and support of UN agencies in the reform processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He stressed that Bosnia and Herzegovina remains committed to strengthening human rights, democracy, environmental protection, the position of young people, economic development and improving the quality of life of citizens through meeting the Sustainable Development Goals, defined together with the United Nations.
During the meeting, they also discussed the establishment of a Joint Steering Board between the UN and BiH for the implementation of the "Framework for Cooperation for Sustainable Development between the UN and BiH in the period from 2021 to 2025", the BiH Council of Ministers said.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the UN Regional Program for Strengthening the Role of Youth in Promoting Mutual Trust, Understanding and Constructive Dialogue in the Light of Compliance with the New UN Framework for Sustainable Development in BiH and support to young people in BiH and the region.
