LONDON, December 13 (FENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bisera Turković discussed today in London the most current issues in the region with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Western Balkans, and the meeting was chaired by the British Minister of Foreign Affairs Elizabeth Truss.
Turković says the United Kingdom's strong support for Bosnia and Herzegovina and its progress was highlighted, and the latest developments in BiH and the region were discussed.
The meeting was also attended by the new British Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Stuart Peach, who is expected to visit BiH soon, and the meeting at Lancaster House was also attended by US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Gabriel Escobar and other officials.
Turković especially emphasized that there is no stable Balkans and Europe without a peaceful and stable Bosnia and Herzegovina, it was announced on her official Twitter account.
During her visit to London, Minister Turković also met with the European Union Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue and Other Open Issues in the Western Balkans, Miroslav Lajčák, who is also the former High Representative in BiH.
The meeting focused on the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region, and Turković expressed concern over the blockade of the European path and the threat to the Dayton Peace Agreement, adding that BiH's European future has no alternative, which is why a strong response from the international community is expected.
