SARAJEVO, December 2 (FENA) - Sabina Ćudić, Our Party's representative in the FBiH Parliament, told reporters that the opposition parties, primarily Our Party and the Social Democratic Party of BiH, managed to thwart an agreement between the Party of Democratic Action and the Croat Democratic Union in Mostar.
Ćudić said this after today's resumption of talks at the headquarters of the European Union Delegation in Sarajevo on constitutional and electoral reforms, where the US special envoy for electoral reform Matthew Palmer and the director of the European External Action Service Angelina Eichhorst spoke with domestic political actors.
"We managed, at best, to stop this plan (from Mostar); in the worst case, if nothing else, gain time to stop the ethnicization of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the creation of a third constituency through further diplomatic and domestic efforts. In that sense, the Securities Commission was mentioned as an illustrative example of the non-functioning of the House of Peoples, to which we replied that the SDA-HDZ coalition unlawfully appointed that commission and that the coalition functions as a coalition of personal and party interests, of the so-called legitimate representation of Croats as well as Bosniaks," said, among other things, Ćudić.
If the text of the agreement in Mostar is taken into account, it is clear that the concept of legitimate representation has been agreed upon. Bosnia and Herzegovina has imposed this type of work with foreigners, not through institutions, which is not only the fault of foreigners but also domestic actors who have agreed to negotiate with foreigners in the same way as among each other - outside the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"This type of extra-institutional action has brought us to a situation where it is believed that if two hands are twisted in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina or three hands in Bosnia and Herzegovina, you can get outcomes that are seen as fast and pragmatic but are neither fast, useful nor pragmatic," underlined Ćudić.
