Zaimovic and UN Coordinator in BiH Macdonald discuss future cooperation

SARAJEVO, November 4 (FENA) - Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Parliament Mirsad Zaimović talked with UN Resident Coordinator in BiH Ingrid Macdonald about UN's cooperation with representatives of the institutions in the Federation of BiH, which was mutually assessed as successful.

The two placed special emphasis on the Framework for the Realization of Sustainable Development Goals in BiH, which was adopted by the FBiH Government, and previously by the BiH Council of Ministers, which committed the BiH state together with 192 UN member states to implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The UN Coordinator Macdonald presented the Global Goals for Sustainable Return, where special attention is paid to economic issues, environmental protection with an emphasis on the use of green energy, sustainable consumption and production, climate protection and real opportunities to improve the situation in this area.
