The two was jointly assessed that the blockades of the state institutions and the attempt to attack the constitutional and legal order of BiH are unacceptable and that they endanger the stability of BiH.

During the conversation, Escobar emphasized that the United States stands firmly with Bosnia and Herzegovina and its territorial integrity and sovereignty.

He pointed out that the United States will strongly support the reforms that bring Bosnia and Herzegovina closer to the European Union, and that in addition, significant American investments in our country can be expected.

Izetbegović and Escobar agreed to present the potentials of BiH and projects that could be of mutual interest during the visit of American investors, which are to be expected in the coming period.

In the part of the talks on the reform of the election legislation, Izetbegović conveyed the views of the SDA, emphasizing that it is necessary to make a compromise in order to achieve a balance of ethnic and civic principles.

He underlined that in this compromise, all interested parties, including the HDZ, must give something in order to get something in return.

Izetbegović pointed out that the electoral reform must include amendments to the BiH Constitution and the FBiH Constitution, and that, therefore, all parliamentary parties must participate in the agreement, in order to ensure the necessary two-thirds majority support.
